BRANDING DESIGN

Mega

We redesigned the on-air graphics and brand system

for Mega’s family of channels and platforms, from open TV to cable, the Mega GO app and mega.cl.

Mega had been speaking to its audience in the same way for more than five years.

It was part of the landscape, and that made it easy to overlook. At the same time, Mega isn’t just one TV channel anymore. It spans Mega, Mega 2, Mega Ficción, Mega Plus, the Mega GO app, mega.cl and active social accounts. Viewers move between screens all day, and the network wanted a fresh, modern way to talk to them, with one clear look that unifies every platform.

The idea:

the logo, broken down and built back up Mega’s logo is built from simple geometric modules, so we used it as the starting point for the whole system.

We broke it down into its basic shapes (pills, arches, circles and half-circles) and rebuilt them into a flexible visual language.

These shapes frame talent, hold information, open, close and move. Because they come from the logo itself, everything feels unmistakably Mega.

A confident type-led information system.

One clean, modern typeface (BC Novatica) in large sizes makes promos like “Soon,” “New episodes,” “Today” and “We’ll be right back” instant to read on any screen. – A bold, optimistic palette. Electric blues, hot pink, warm yellow and bright cyan, anchored by black and neutral grays, express a positive mood and give each program its own color moment. – 2D to 3D.

The same geometric shapes work as clean flat graphics and as soft, tactile 3D scenes, with glossy sliders, switches and rounded forms that animate as they move on screen.

Faces first. Talent appears inside the pill and arch frames, so the people viewers love stay at the center of the design. – One end logo. A consistent logo close ties all platforms together.

What we delivered
